Production Visual Effects Supervisor
Alessio Bertotti is a Production Visual Effects Supervisor managing end-to-end VFX workflows for international feature films, TV series, commercials, and music videos. An active member the Visual Effects Society (VES) and AVFX, he works directly with directors and production companies from early script breakdowns and location scouting through active on-set supervision and final post-production.
Supported by a streamlined internal team for project coordination and vendor oversight, Alessio builds scalable, custom pipelines tailored to each production. He manages storyboards, pre-visualization, active on-set VFX, and second unit direction on a per-project basis, while leveraging strategic partnerships for specialized execution: PFX for high-end VFX and AI integration, Lineamentum for general VFX, Unspace for virtual sets, Kosmos for live screen inserts (FUI), and Rabastage for practical fluids and prosthetics.
Recent client-side supervision credits include Oliver Stone’s White Lies, Stolen Girl, Skincare, and Paradox Effect, alongside television series such as Paramount+’s Miss Fallaci and Sky’s Gangs of Milano.
Earlier in his career, Alessio spent a decade abroad at major international studios contributing to Marvel and DC films (Black Panther, Logan, Avengers) and acclaimed series like Game of Thrones and Westworld. After returning to Italy he co-founded Alps Studios, growing it into a leading Italian VFX facility and contributing to high-profile projects like Bones and All, Obi-Wan Kenobi, The Rig, and Dampyr, which earned him a David di Donatello nomination for Best Visual Effects. He has since fully exited the company to focus exclusively on his own supervision practice.
The goal is always to find the best solutions to balance time and budget but, most of all, the quality of the final product.
